API API Aqua Essential Water Conditioner 118ml
AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner is a highly concentrated all-in-one water conditioner that instantly makes tap water safe for fish by removing chlorine, chloramine and detoxifies heavy metals commonly found in tap water. AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner instantly removes toxic ammonia, nitrate and nitrite levels in freshwater, saltwater and planted aquariums. Toxic ammonia continually released by fish through their gills, urine and solid waste. Uneaten food and decaying organic matter also add ammonia. Small amounts of ammonia stress fish; large amounts of ammonia will kill fish. This unique formula binds with ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate rendering them non-toxic and allowing the biofilter to more efficiently remove them. Use at start-up and whenever adding or changing water or when tested levels of ammonia, nitrates or nitrite are high. When adding, transporting or quarantining fish, we recommend using API STRESS COAT™ water conditioner which is ideal for use with AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner. Instructions: Using dosing cap on bottle, add 5 ml. per 50 gallons of aquarium water to treat tap water. Add 5 ml. per 10 gallons of aquarium water to remove ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. We advise you to wait 24 hours after dosing then do a water change. If you dose within that 24 hour period there is no danger to the animals/plants in your aquarium. A follow-up water change is always beneficial to an aquatic system. FAQs: Will API® AQUA ESSENTIAL™ affect my aquarium’s protein skimmers? AQUA ESSENTIAL will not disrupt any type of protein skimmer. Is there a possibility to overdose AQUA ESSENTIAL in my aquarium? When dosing AQUA ESSENTIAL we advise following the directions, but the product formulation does allow for a margin in the event a tank is accidentally dosed with slightly higher amount than specified. Is it safe to use AQUA ESSENTIAL in my aquarium with other aquatic animals like snails or shrimp? Yes, it is safe to use AQUA ESSENTIAL with other aquatic animals. Can I use AQUA ESSENTIAL with other API® products? AQUA ESSENTIAL can be used in conjunction with any other API water conditioner or medication. Does AQUA ESSENTIAL affect the pH in my aquarium? When AQUA ESSENTIAL is dosed according to the label the pH will not be affected. Can I double the dose for AQUA ESSENTIAL if I have high levels of chloramines? AQUA ESSENTIAL is designed to treat chloramines without the need to use a double dose. For those customers who automatically double dose there is not a problem using AQUA ESSENTIAL for this, but it is not necessary. How often should I wait between doses of AQUA ESSENTIAL? Once a dose is provided to the aquarium, it is recommended to wait for 24 to 48 hours between doses. How long will AQUA ESSENTIAL bind ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate for? Once AQUA ESSENTIAL is dosed it will bind the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate for up to 48 hours or longer. Testing is the best way to judge if additional dosing is necessary. In water conditions with highly elevated levels, overstocked with fish, or extremely overfed we always recommend a partial water change after 24 hours to aid the fish in the best water quality. Also, any ammonia or nitrite that is bound by AQUA ESSENTIAL is metabolically available for beneficial bacteria to process. So your biological filters will be able to function when using AQUA ESSENTIAL. How much ammonia will be removed per dose of AQUA ESSENTIAL? When treating for ammonia, with a 5 ml/10 gal. dose of AQUA ESSENTIAL, you should expect a 20-40 ppm reduction in ammonia. How much nitrite will be removed per dose of AQUA ESSENTIAL? When treating for nitrite, a 5 mL/10 gal. dose of AQUA ESSENTIAL, you should expect a 15-30 ppm reduction in nitrite. How much nitrate will be removed per dose of AQUA ESSENTIAL? When treating for nitrate, a 5 mL/10 gal. dose of AQUA ESSENTIAL, you should expect a large reduction of nitrate, ~ 40-60 ppm reduction in nitrate.

API API - Tap Water Conditioner (30ml)
API - Tap Water Conditioner (30ml) instantly removes chlorine and neutralises chloramines. It also detoxifies heavy metals in tap water. This is because tap water contains chemicals that make water safe for us to drink, are highly toxic to fish. High levels of these chemicals destroy fish gill tissue, preventing the uptake of oxygen which can lead to fish death. Even low levels irritate delicate fish tissue. Tap water must be treated before adding fish to make sure fish remain healthy. The formula is incredibly concentrated. You only need up to 3ml to treat 10 gallons of water. It's safe for all aquatic and can be used in both fresh and salt water. Use during aquarium set up, water changes and adding fish. API Aquarium Treatment Supplies are designed to work in conjunction with each other to provide best results to control algae, promote healthy bacterial growth and help control and cure fish diseases and conditions such as ich and fin rot. They work to provide a safe, hospitable environment for fish such as tropical community fish, cichlids, goldfish and more. With API, you can spend more time admiring your fish, and less time scrubbing your tank. Make sure to use all products as directed in order to ensure the best results.

API API - Accu Clear (37ml)
API® ACCU-CLEAR water clarifier quickly clarifies cloudy water in your aquarium, eliminating haze to make your water crystal clear. API ACCU-CLEAR water clarifier clumps tiny floating particles together, forming large particles to be more easily removed by your aquarium filter. Product is safe for use with all freshwater fish and plants. Add 1 ml per 10 gallons of aquarium water. The water will clear within several hours. If a second dose is necessary, wait 24 hours. FAQs What does API ACCU-CLEAR™ water clarifier do? API ACCU-CLEAR water clarifier clears green or cloudy water in freshwater aquariums by clumping small particles together into larger pieces, so they can settle to the bottom of your aquarium to be siphoned out, or easily removed by the filter. Is API ACCU-CLEAR™ water clarifier safe with fish and plants? Yes, API ACCU-CLEAR water clarifier is a safe product for both fish and plants. Why can’t API ACCU-CLEAR™ water clarifier be used in marine aquariums? In water with a high mineral content, such as the water found in marine (or saltwater) aquariums, API ACCU-CLEAR water clarifier will not clear cloudiness and could even make it worse. However, API ACCU-CLEAR water clarifier will not cause any harm to fish or marine plants. Can API ACCU-CLEAR™ water clarifier be used if I have added salt to the water in my freshwater aquarium as part of a supportive treatment for fish? Yes, a low level of salt in the water, as is typically the case with freshwater aquariums, is not a problem with API ACCU-CLEAR water clarifier. However, API ACCU-CLEAR water clarifier does not act as a healing treatment for fish like aquarium salt. Its primary purpose is for aquarium cleanliness and clarity. Will API ACCU- CLEAR™ water clarifier clear the cloudiness caused by bacterial blooms? API ACCU-CLEAR water clarifier will help to clear the cloudiness caused by bacterial blooms, but does not address the underlying cause. As a result, the cloudiness will come back quickly unless the main cause of bacterial blooms is treated. Can I repeat the dose of API ACCU-CLEAR™ water clarifier if the cloudiness persists? API ACCU-CLEAR water clarifier can be dosed again after 24 hours. However, further doses should not be added after this, as repeated doses will actually make cloudiness worse. API ACCU-CLEAR water clarifier can be dosed once a week as a routine treatment to help keep water clear, but if cloudiness persists, you may want to perform a 25% water change.

API API - pH Down (118ml)
API pH Down is great for when you're setting up a new aquarium, adjusting pH, or changing water as it raises aquarium pH in freshwater aquariums to desired level. pH in an aquarium can fluctuate due to fish waste, uneaten food and addition of tap water -- so, it is recommended to test water for pH weekly. pH is the measure of acidity of water, on a scale ranging from 0 to 14. A pH of 0 is the most acidic, while a pH of 14 is the most alkaline. Different geographies have different tap water conditions with different pH levels, while fish require a specific pH level to thrive. A pH of 7.0 is ideal when keeping a community aquarium containing a variety of tropical fish. Goldfish and livebearers prefer a pH of 7.5. Many Amazonian fish, like angelfish and neon tetras, prefer a pH of 6.5 to 6.8. Mollies and swordtails thrive at pH 7.2 to 7.5. Safe for fish and plants.
