Let’s Talk Poo!

Let’s Talk Poo!

Poo isn’t the topic most people like to talk about, but looking at your pet’s poo can help you determine if they are having any problems. So let’s stop the squeamishness and see what your pet’s poo is telling you!

What can help?

If your dog or cat is constipated, then introducing some moisture-rich food, like canned wet food, into their diet could help.If your pet is experiencing diarrhea (especially like 5,6, or 7 on the chart), we recommend that you see a vet. If, after the vet examination, your pet doesn’t have any abnormalities, you could look for a nibble that is high in fibre. Alternatively, you could also add vegetables such as cooked sweet potato to their diet, which is high in fibre.

If your pet has a sensitive stomach, Pets Domain stocks a wide range of sensitive stomach and skin foods that may help.

For any ongoing digestive problems, consult a vet for advice. Always make sure fresh water is available to your pet.
